OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson scored four runs in the third inning to open up a 7-2 lead en route to a 13-5 win over McDaniel in non-conference baseball action on Monday.

Kasey Nelson (St. Pete's Beach, Fla./St. Michael's [Md.]) led the Green Terror (10-16) with two hits and three RBIs.

John D'Aquanno led the Mustangs (17-18) with a 4-for-5 day at the plate.

McDaniel jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a Mike Dunn (Lanham, Md./DeMatha) single, followed by an error and Nelson RBI groundout.

A Kevin Murray double with one out in the bottom of the frame kickstarted a two-run counter. Mark Terrell drew a two-out walk before Jake Dimon tripled both runners home.

Trailing 3-2, Brett Anderson (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill) walked to lead off the third before scoring on a Nelson two-out double down the line.

Three walks and a hit batter helped the first five Stevenson batters of the third to reach. After a trio of wild pitches, a two-out Connor Wasilnak double capped the four-run inning.

A D'Aquanna double keyed a three-run fourth inning to stretch the advantage to 10-2.

Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) led off the sixth with a double before taking third on a groundout and scoring on an Evan Finch (Laurel, Md./St. John's College) sacrifice fly.

An Alex Kidwiler double and Wasilnak single got that run back in the bottom of the inning.

A bases-loaded hit by pitch and sacrifice fly stretched the advantage to 13-3 in the seventh.

In the ninth, Douglas Mills (Timonium, Md./York Catholic [Pa.]) led off with a pinch-hit single before a Tom Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) had a pinch-hit, one-out double to put runners at second and third.

After a walk, a Rosanova sacrifice fly and Nelson single set the final margin.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Gettysburg on Tuesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
