McDaniel held off a late rally in the opener before rallying with a five-run seventh inning to complete the sweep of Muhlenberg. The Green Terror took the opener 9-6 before winning game two, 8-7.

Michaela Persinger (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) led the Green Terror with five hits and five RBIs, including a three-hit game two.

• Allyson Sweeney led the Mules with five hits of her own, including rapping out three hits in the nightcap.
• Kristy Selby had four hits on the day, recording a pair of hits in each contest.

• In the opener, Kristina Shank (Mardela Springs, Md./Mardela) drew a walk to start the bottom of the first before back-to-back groundouts got her to third base. Megan Coyle (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) came through with a single just over the outstretched reach of the shortstop for a 1-0 lead.
• Muhlenberg drew even in the third. Sarah Schubert was a hit by a pitch to start the inning before moving to second on a sacrifice and third on a fielding error. An Allyson Sweeney single through the left side tied the game.
Haley Michael (Oldsmar, Fla./East Lake) poked a single into the gap to lead off the bottom of the inning before taking second on a sacrifice. A Mattie Whalen (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) slow roller up the third-base line and Michaela Persinger single through the right side scored Michael for a 2-1 lead. A fielder's choice loaded the bases before the Mules elected to come home on another ground ball for the second out. With the bases loaded, Madison Froemel (Suffolk, Va./Kings Fork) singled back up the middle to score Persinger and Coyle for a 4-1 lead. A hit by pitch reloaded the bases for Alicia Wagner (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch), who drove a single back up the middle to score Megan Horsey (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor) for a 5-1 advantage.
• A two-out infield single from Schuburt and single by a diving shortstop by Cora Bridges put runners at the corners in the top of the fourth. Kristin Oberg followed with another well-placed infield single to cut the deficit to 5-2.
• Wagner led off the home sixth with a single before giving way to pinch-runner Julia Dimmick (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase). With Dimmick on second, Shank reached on an infield single and the freshman took third after the throw across the diamond. Shank stole second before Whalen drew a walk to load the bases. Persinger knocked a ball off the top of the fence that scored Dimmick and Shank before a two-out Horsey single up the middle plated Whalen and Persinger for a 9-2 lead.
• Bridges led off the top of the seventh with a single up the middle before an Oberg single through the left side put two runners on. An interference call kept runners at first and second with one out before a Sweeney single the gap scored Bridges. Selby singled to load the bases before a Kristina Qualben single to shallow center made it a 9-4 game with the bases still loaded. McDaniel got the second out at the plate before a Genna Cicchetti single to left-center scored Selby and Qualben, closing the deficit to 9-6 and bringing the tying run to the plate. Cassie Rickrode (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic), however, got a flyout to the center-field fence to end the game.
• In the nightcap, Sarah Karmazyn appeared to flyout to right to lead off the game but catcher's interference was called, allowing her to reach first. Sweeney followed with a single up the third-base line that was called fair. A Selby single into right loaded the bases before a throwing error allowed two runners to score and a Cicchetti sacrifice fly staked Muhlenberg to a 3-0 lead.
• In the bottom of the second, Michael started a two-out rally, lacing a ball up the middle. Miranda Thompson (Columbia, Md./Atholton) was hit by a pitch before Shank walked to load the bases. Shank then beat the shortstop on a footrace to the bag to allow Michael to score and keep the bases loaded. Persinger followed with a double to the gap, tying the game at 3-all.
• A one-out walk to Bridges, Schubert double and two-out Sarah Raab infield single put the Mules back in front, 4-3.
• With two outs in the sixth, Sweeney reached on a single to shallow left before Selby put a ball up the middle. Qualben followed by sending an 0-1 pitch out to straightaway center field, stretching the lead to 7-3.
• With one out in the seventh, Persinger singled before Coyle drew a walk. A Horsey double scored Persinger before a two-out Wagner double to left cut the deficit to 7-6. With pinch-runner Melissa Marini (Catonsville, Md./George Washington Carver) standing at second, Michael dropped a single into right field and Marini raced home for the tying run. Thompson followed by dropping a ball in just out of the reach of a diving center fielder to move the winning run into scoring position. Shank poked a ball by the outstretched reach of the shortstop to score Michael with the game-winning run.

Kristina Shank ended both games for McDaniel, catching the final out at the fence in game one and accounting for the game-winning single in game two.
• Cassie Rickrode struck out three and did not walk any for the game-one win.
• Krista Waller (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) picked up the win in game two with two strikeouts and one walk.
Megan Horsey, Madison Froemel and Alicia Wagner joined Michaela Persinger with two hits each in game one.
• In addition to Persinger's three hits in game two, Shank and Michael had two hits each.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Washington (Md.) on Tuesday. The first game begins at 3 p.m.
