Messiah, ranked 17th in the NWCA Div. III poll, scored 22 straight points to record a 29-15 victory over McDaniel.

• Tony Wuest (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) led the Green Terror with a 4-minute, 27-second pin at 197.

FOR THE FOES
• Stephen Maloney recorded one of three technical falls for the Falcons, winning 16-0 just nine seconds into the second period at 157.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Steven Pabon (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) staked McDaniel to a 6-0 lead with a pin at 133.
• Ryker Eckenbarger (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) stretched the lead to 9-0 with a late takedown for a 7-5 victory at 141.
• After Nick Nunez got Messiah on the board with an 8-3 win at 149, Stephen Maloney and Kevin Edwards put together back-to-back technical fall wins in the second period for a 13-9 lead in the match.
• Brian Shermeyer added an 11-3 win at 174 before David Stevens earned a 19-1 win midway through the second period at 184 for a 22-9 lead.
Tony Wuest's team-leading 13th pin of the season closed the margin to 22-15.
• Carter Urich, however, secured the match victory with an 8-4 win at heavyweight before Jordan Howard capped the match with an 11-2 victory.
