WESTMINSTER, Md. – The first NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic regional rankings are out and McDaniel is ranked seventh in the listing, released on Wednesday.
The Green Terror (12-4, 5-3 CC) is one of six Centennial Conference (CC) teams in the top 10 in the region.
McDaniel, which was ninth in Tuesday's United Soccer Coaches regional poll, is the fourth-highest ranked conference team. Johns Hopkins is second while Haverford and Dickinson are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Junior Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) leads the team with nine goals this season. She also has three assists for a team-high 21 points. Sophomore Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./St. Mark's) has contributed eight goals and three assists to rank second on the team with 19 points. Junior Kristen Worry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster-Strasburg) leads the team with nine assists.
Sophomore Katherine Carstensen (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) has a 0.75 goals-against average and .769 save percentage.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Muhlenberg on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
