WESTMINSTER, Md. – The third NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic regional rankings are out and McDaniel remains ranked eighth in the listing, released on Wednesday.
The Green Terror (13-5, 6-4 CC) is one of six Centennial Conference (CC) teams in the top 10 in the region.
McDaniel, which also remained eighth in Tuesday's United Soccer Coaches regional poll, is the fifth-highest ranked conference team. Dickinson is second while Johns Hopkins is third and Gettysburg and Haverford and Gettysburg are sixth and seventh, respectively.
Junior Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomore Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./St. Mark's) are tied for the team lead with nine goals this season. Both also have three assists for a team-high 21 points. Junior Kristen Worry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster-Strasburg) leads the team with nine assists.
Sophomore Katherine Carstensen (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) has a 0.83 goals-against average and .754 save percentage.
The Green Terror returns to action in the CC first round at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
