LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the McDaniel women's soccer team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday.
Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./St. Mark's) and Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) earned second-team honors while Kristen Worry (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and Jackie Fahrenholz (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) were tabbed honorable mention.
Schepers, a sophomore forward, is making her second straight second-team appearance on the all-conference team. Schepers has started all 19 games and currently ranks second on the team with nine goals and 21 points. She has a pair of two-goal games this season.
Schwartz, a junior midfielder, is also making her second straight appearance on the All-CC second team. Starting all 19 games, Schwartz leads the team in scoring with 10 goals and 23 points. She had a hat trick at Shenandoah on Sept. 4 and two goals against Swarthmore on Sept. 28.
Worry, a junior midfielder, is making her first all-conference appearance. Worry started all 19 games and leads the team with nine assists. She has also added two goals to rank third on the team with 13 points.
Fahrenholz, a senior defender, earned her first nod on the all-conference team. Fahrenholz started the first 13 games of the season before missing the final six with injury. She contributed a pair of assists to the offense but was also a key part of the backline that had posted a 0.77 goals-against average through the first 13 games of the year.
The Green Terror (13-6, 6-4 CC) returns to action against Penn State-Behrend in the first round of the ECAC tournament at home on Saturday. Game time is 11 a.m.
