KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackie Fahrenholz (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood), a senior on the McDaniel women's soccer team, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-South Region team, announced on Monday.
Fahrenholz was a Scholar All-South third-team selection. It was the first time she received the honor.
Fahrenholz, a defender, earned an honorable mention all-conference honor. She started the first 13 games of the season before missing the final six with injury. She contributed a pair of assists to the offense but was also a key part of the backline that had posted a 0.77 goals-against average through the first 13 games of the year.
To be named to the Scholar Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 throughout her career, start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team and be nominated by an institution that is a current United Soccer Coaches College Services member.
The Green Terror concluded the season with a record of 17-6 (6-4 CC) and appeared in the CC tournament and won the ECAC Division III women's soccer tournament for the second straight year.
