McDaniel to travel to Marywood for ECAC tournament

DANBURY, Conn. – McDaniel learned on Monday afternoon that its season will continue with a selection to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III volleyball tournament.

The Green Terror (14-12) received the No. 3 overall seed and a first-round bye. McDaniel will take on the winner of Wednesday's Ramapo-Cedar Crest first-round match on Saturday at Marywood, beginning at 5 p.m. The semifinals and final will be on Sunday at Marywood.

Junior Marlowe Embry (San Jose, Calif./J.H. Pitman) led McDaniel during the regular season with 271 kills and was second on the team with 285 digs. She also added 35 aces and 15 total blocks.

Junior Kendall Hanak (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Rock Canyon) led the defense with 369 digs.

Junior Emma Lorenzen (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) had 39 total blocks to go with 176 kills and 34 aces.

Sophomore Anna Jezerski (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) was second on the team with 233 kills and a team-best 41 blocks. She also had 30 aces.

Senior Isabel Paci (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) added 180 kills and 20 blocks while junior Makayla Patterson (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) added 24 total blocks.

Junior Gayle Edelstein (Livingston, N.J./Livingston) contributed 822 assists to the attack. She also added 25 aces, 57 kills and 15 blocks.
